It was high praised indeed.
How fantastic to hear someone of Cr Doyle's stature and experience talk openly about the prospects of this great city.
It's clear Bendigo is being closely monitored in Melbourne and people up the Calder Freeway like what they see at the moment.
If people in Melbourne are aware of what this city is doing and, most importantly achieving, surely that opens the door to opportunity.
What a great position for our city to hold.
If people in Melbourne are aware of what this city is doing and, most importantly achieving, surely that opens the door to opportunity.
Cr Doyle said as much when he talked of what Bendigo had to offer now and into the future.
But he also warned cashing in on such a period of great opportunity would require planning and effort.
A united Bendigo had the power to make others, particularly those in government, listen and that opened the door to build an event better city into the future.
Great food for thought for all those present at the luncheon, the community, the City of Greater Bendigo and its elected councillors.
Thanks for sharing, Cr Doyle.
