Yapeen house fire

THE CFA says a house fire in Yapeen today was contained to the roof.

A CFA spokesman said five units were called to the house fire at 12.45pm.

He said smoke could be seen billowing from the roof and the CFA believed the fire started near a fuse box.

He said the fire was inside the roof and took 15 minutes to put out.

He said there was some damage to the roof but the remainder of the house was intact.

He said the cause of the fire was yet to be determined.

He said the occupant's power company cut the power to the house.

He said Energy Safe Victoria and the CFA were investigating the cause of the fire.
