Hundreds of students and faculty members supported and honoured the lives of Australia's servicemen in the Bendigo South East College gymnasium.
BSEC School Captain Eva Marchingo said she was pleased to represent her school on this special day.
"It's extremely important to us because one of our teachers is an ex serviceman so it especially important to have him be appreciated," she said.
"A lot of our teachers are ex-serviceman.
"Its just so important to be able to recognise that we are Australians and to be proud of that."
Speeches by students spoke of the courage, commitment, endurance and persistance of the war veterans.
One young student said, "Anzac day is more than just a public holiday but rather a fundamental Australian tradition where every Australian and New Zealand town is likely to hold and ANZAC service of some description."
"ANZAC day is a spirit and a time to reflect."
