The fun run is one of the events organised by the college to support the international aid organisation, with a number of local businesses also pitching in.
Teacher and organiser Nik Verbeek said the idea came about from the college's weekly walking club.
He said the club aimed to promote a healthy lifestyle, manage stress and provide a relaxed and fun outlet for students from their studies.
"The point of the fun run is to raise funds and awareness of Caritas," he said.
"The run is in an essential location so hopefully it will spread awareness."
Mr Verbeek said about 100 people would participate in the event.
He said the college looked to raise between $2000 and $3000.
"We have had lots of people donating to the cause," he said.
The fun run will leave from the Rosalind Park, View Street entrance about 4pm.
