Nathan Williams, Tayla Flint, Leeann Burton and Daniel Nancarrow umpired at national tournaments in different parts of the country.
Williams attended the under 20’s competition in Tasmania, Flint and Burton officiated the under 18’s in Brisbane while Nancarrow attended the under 16’s in Adelaide and the National Schools tournament in Melbourne.
Nancarrow said it was it was a good experience to umpire a tournament where Australia's best young players competed.
“It is a great honour to represent Bendigo and also country Victorian basketball,” he said.
Burton said it was a great opportunity.
"It is a challenge for yourself, it is a big thing," she said.
"Not many people get the opportunity to do it so it is a great honour to be asked to go.
"It is an opportunity to represent your home town and your state."
Bendigo Basketball Referees Association president Terry Davies said it had been about five years since Bendigo had any referees invited to attend an Australian Junior Championships.
“Being invited to attend an AJC is a great career achievement and exposes the referees to an outstanding level of junior basketball,” he said.
“It is a priceless opportunity.”
