A CENTRAL Victorian business has put up its hand to support a campaign to thank the nation's firefighters.
The California Gully Post Office has offered to provide 100 envelopes to organisers of National Red Balloon Day.
The envelopes will be used to send balloon orders to people across the country.
California Gully Post Office employee Peter said Australian firefighters deserved to be recognised for their efforts.
"It is a good cause," he said.
"There is not a lot of recognition for them and we thought it was a good idea.
"I am sure lots of other businesses would have done the same thing."
National Red Balloon Day will take place on February 28, the last day of the fire season.
The community is encouraged to buy a red balloon and display it out the front of their houses as a symbol of thanks.
A Kangaroo Flat graphic designer also offered support by agreeing to maintain the newly-created website.
A business in Albury will look after the charity's finances.
