Leading the Bendigo charge will be 16-year-old Zoe Boldiston, a six-time national champion, in the under-18 girls’ 5km race.
Boldiston is the reigning Australian under-17 track champion over 5km.
The teenager won the national track title in March and the under-16 Australian Road Walk Championship a year ago.
Although she has had an interrupted winter program because of a heel injury, Boldiston will still be looking to produce a strong performance.
Ebony Whiley will contest the under-20 women’s 10km race.
The Eaglehawk Athletics Club member has won many state titles and been placed at national level in her nine years in the sport.
Zahra Hayes and Madison Hill will contest the under-14 girls’ 3km race.
Elmore’s Zahra Hayes, 11, has shown excellent form throughout winter.
Highlights were victory in the under-14 girls’ 3km at the Victorian All Schools and third at the Athletics Victoria state championships.
Hayes was fourth at the Australian Federation Titles in the under-12 2km event in Canberra in June.
Madison Hill has continued to improve each race and finished a close up fourth at the Victorian Country Championships in May.
Hill was sixth at the Victorian championships.
The club’s other entrant in Launceston is 10-year-old Carissa Brook in the under- 12 girls’ 2km race.
She has continued to improve her times over the winter and raced strongly in the under-12 2km event at the Australian Federation Titles in Canberra.
