Bendigo Pioneers will be aiming to start the titles with a victory when they tackle Murray Bushrangers from 11am at the iconic ground in View Street.
The battle between the Pioneers and Bushrangers will be followed by Dandenong Stingrays against North Ballarat Rebels from 1pm.
Final match on the opening day of the titles will be Gippsland Power again Geelong Falcons from 3pm.
After tomorrow’s rest day, the under-16s action resumes at 9.30am on Sunday when Bendigo tackles Gippsland.
North Ballarat and Murray will meet at 11.30am, with Geelong and Dandenong in the final match of a huge weekend of football from 1.30pm.
There are 14 clubs represented in the Bendigo Pioneers squad of 25 to compete at the under-16 titles.
The Pioneers under-16s are coached by Peter Gibbs.
Players from as far afield as Red Cliffs, Maldon, Strathfieldsaye, Cohuna, Kyneton and Donald will join forces for the Pioneers.
Young stars from Golden Square, Maryborough, Echuca, Cohuna, Imperials, Mooroopna, South Mildura, Tooleybuc-Manangatang, and Kennington-Sandhurst will be aiming for many possessions in the two matches they play at the state championships.
