Lord Monckton was invited by the Rise Up Australia Party to speak about climate change, the carbon tax and the United Nation’s sustainable development plan Agenda 21.
Rise Up Australia Party executive director Ben Veitz said he was pleased to have Lord Monckton speak in Bendigo.
“He feels that the people of Australia need to be informed of what the real agenda is behind things like carbon tax, global warming and those sort of things,” Mr Veitz said.
“He’s got a lot of insight into political happenings. It’s going to be very entertaining.
“He’s a very colourful and animated speaker with strong views substantiated by fact.”
Mr Veitz said the Rise Up Australia Party was a Christian party that aimed to retain Australian values.
“We’ve got other elements from other religions trying to push things like Sharia law but we want to retain our Australian values,” he said.
The British public speaker is known for his work as a journalist, conservative political adviser and as a political candidate for the UK Independence Party.
Lord Monckton will speak at 11am with free entry.
