The ensemble – founded in Cologne, Germany – will play pieces from Antonio Vivaldi’s Concerti Virtuosi as well as works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Francios Borne, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Niccolo Paganini. The cathedral’s John Hogan said Sacred Heart always warmly welcomed the Chamber Philharmonia Cologne.
“They are a fantastic group, they come every year,” he said. “It’s very popular with a lot of people outside of Bendigo coming along.
“It works really well inside the cathedral because they are really good at playing with those acoustics.”
Tickets for the Chamber Philharmonia Cologne are available at the Bendigo Visitor Information Centre. The concert starts at 8pm.
