Runners have the option of a 5km or 10km event. Registration will take place at 7.30am on Sunday at the corner of Jeffery Street and the Midland Highway.
This will also be the site of the start and finish lines.
The adult entry fee is $10 while children run free, and all proceeds raised will go towards a defibrillator unit for Elmore Primary Care.
Elmore Primary Care practice manager Kathy Tuohey said a new defibrillator would benefit the entire community. “The existing defibrillator in the treatment room is more than 20-years-old and lacks portability,” she said.
“The fun run allows us to pursue the purchase of the state-of-the-art defibrillator and although it won’t cover the complete cost, it opens an avenue to approach the Bendigo Community Bank Elmore branch, which has committed to contributing.”
Ms Tuohey praised the efforts of the fun run organisers and urged everyone to get involved.
