Senior Constable Todd Deary said officers braved the heat in Rotary Park to spend the afternoon using a number plate recognition device to catch banned drivers and serial fine dodgers.
“The Sheriff’s office got $101,044 in fines, suspended 25 licences for unpaid fines and put 22 people on payment plans,” he said.
Police also detected four unregistered cars, one unregistered truck, three unlicensed drivers, three suspended drivers and one car without an alcohol interlock device fitted.
Senior Constable Deary said a Bendigo man had his Harley-Davidson motorcycle impounded for driving while suspended.
