There are about six members from the original choir, which began singing together in 1998, including co-ordinator and pianist Nona Ratcliffe.
The group performs at 13 homes a year and held their 200th performance at the Probus Christmas luncheon in December at the Foundry Arms Hotel. The eldest member of the group is Rex Perry, who recently celebrated his 90th birthday.
Mrs Ratcliffe said the group sang old-time songs and also some more “current and modern” music from the 1950s.
“We know the songs because we grew up to them,” she said.
She said the singers still got a buzz out of performing together. E
