VicSwim teacher Mr Jack Timmins said: “Learning to swim was a lifelong skill’’.
He said that “it’s vitally important”. Need I say any more. The proposed closure of the Golden Square public pool is disgraceful, verging on immoral.
Ask questions of your chief executive officer and councillors as to why.
Don’t take their excuses for closing the pool as the way to go... once it’s gone, it’s gone never to return. Maybe a bit of fat could be trimmed at the top in the shire offices to find the money to refurbish the pool.
Fight the good fight – it’s your pool and rate monies.
