The BDCA’s young guns will have home-turf advantage as they face Cricket Shepparton in the third-round at Strathdale’s Bell Oval from 10am.
In yesterday’s play, Bendigo scored 5-200 off 35 overs against Goulburn Murray at Rochester’s Windridge Oval.
Coby Hansen was unbeaten on 67 and Brayden Stepien struck 51 off 37 deliveries, and Billy Evans chipped in with 41.
The contest was over quickly as Jamieson Sheehan captured 4-1 off four overs in Goulburn Murray’s innings of 36.
Liam Bowe, 2-9, and captain Nathan Fitzpatrick, 1-10, bowled well.
The under-16B match between Bendigo and Cricket Shepparton was played at Harry Trott Oval in Kennington.
Jack Neylon hit 42 runs as the BDCA reached 5-142.
Shepparton scored 145 against an attack led by Jeremy Hancock, 3-31.
In the under-14s, Bendigo beat Goulburn Murray at Echuca South.
Cooper Jones was unbeaten on 43 as the BDCA reached 5-138.
Goulburn Murray hit 8-121 as Bailey Goodwin took 4-22 for the winners.
In today’s play, Bendigo’s under-16B team takes on Campaspe-Kyabram at Echuca’s Victoria Park, while the under-14s clash with Campaspe-Kyabram at Canterbury Park in Simpsons Road, Eaglehawk.
