The blue, black and white Stejcraft was stolen from the yard of Nankervis Performance Boats in Contempo Court sometime over the weekend.
Mr Dawson said his children, aged 17, 14 and 12, had been looking forward to skiing over summer.
“It’s insured,” he said.
“But even so, by the time the insurance comes through, we probably won’t have a boat for summer.
“That’s the disappointing part.
“It’s a great boat, absolutely.”
Mr Dawson said there had been several thousand dollars worth of ropes, skis and boards in the boat, which was built in 2000.
“It had just had a service completed,” he said.
“So they’ve got an all-serviced boat.
“It was fully fenced in... if someone wants to get in, they’ll get in.”
Mr Dawson said he bought the boat about a year ago and that it had a black travel cover over it when it was stolen.
Nankervis Performance Boats owner John Nankervis said it was the first time a boat had been stolen from the business.
