The open-air cinema has been screening movies for more than 40 years over the summer holidays.
The summer movie sessions began on Thursday and will continue until Australia Day weekend.
Event organiser Daryl Evans said the cinema was popular with families.
“Not many places have open-air cinemas anymore, it is a unique experience,” he said.
“There aren’t any drive-in movies around, so I think coming to the open-air cinema would bring back some nice memories for people.
“We have people not only from Bendigo come and see movies; people from as far as Castlemaine and Kyneton come as well.”
Featured movies for this holiday season include Skyfall, Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2, Pitch Perfect and The Hobbit.
The open-air cinema, which is based at the Lake Eppalock Holiday Park, will also screen movies over the Labour Day weekend in March.
Movies start at 9pm, with the next screening on Friday. Admission is $10.
