Peppa's mum Julie said it was tradition to go to the Boxing Day sales and grab a great deal.
"Peppa loves unicorns and she found one, so we are very happy," she said.
Cory and Harry Arnett were also looking for a new toy, searching through the isles at K-Mart.
"I think I am going to buy some Lego," Corey said.
As one of the biggest trading days of the year kicks into gear, Consumer Affairs minister Michael O'Brien warned shoppers to know their refund and shopping rights before making a purchase.
He said sale items were covered by the Australian Consumer Law in the same way as full priced goods, with shoppers having the rights to a refund, repair or exchange in certain circumstances.
“Businesses cannot tell consumers they have no refund or other shopping rights simply because the item is on sale,” he said.
