During the annual fund-raiser, volunteers who spent more than 12 weeks outside Bendigo shopping centres sold 18,5000 tickets.
A Rochester resident who asked not to be identified said he was shocked after his lucky number was plucked from the barrel to take out the grand prize.
The trailer, worth more than $5000, was stocked with items including a 50cc mini bike, chainsaw, vacuum cleaner and bar fridge. Speaking on the night, raffle co-ordinator John Stewart said he was glad to see another year of great support for the fund-raiser. “It’s been an excellent year with great support from the community,” he said.
Rotary president Greg Penno said the fund-raiser would help a range of different charities.
Righteous Pups, Wildlife Rescue, Riding Develops Abilities, Vietnam Veterans Association, Cystic Fibrosis Central Victorian Country Families and the Central Victorian Lion Team all sold tickets.
