Miss Holt received study scores of 49 in health and human development and studio arts, 44 for psychology and 40 in further maths, which she completed last year.
The college captain said she did not expect to achieve such a high score.
“I was so surprised I cried, my parents were there too and they cried.
“We have really bad reception so I had the phone sitting on the window,” she said. Miss Holt said her teachers had provided her with fantastic support that was vital to her success.
“I have so much admiration for the college,” she said.
“My teachers were just fantastic, there is nothing bad I can say about them. I loved coming to school.”
While balancing school-captain duties with studying was tough, Miss Holt said she would not have changed a thing about her year.
“There was a lot of pressure with being the college captain and balancing school work, however I had a lot of support from the school, which really looked after me,” she said.
Miss Holt said Year 12 students across the nation should be proud of what they have achieved.
When asked to offer some advice to students about to start VCE studies Miss Holt said maintaining a positive attitude was the key to success.
“You should always have a positive attitude towards your teachers and your school. If you don’t, you won’t put in the effort required,” she said.
Miss Holt said she has been accepted into a graphic design course at La Trobe University in Bendigo and was looking forward to the future.
“I am definitely looking forward to embarking on the next challenge,” she said.
