Overnight leader Daniel Popovic endured a late hiccup but remains in command at the Australian PGA Championship in Coolum, finishing his second round at 10 under and after stunning the field to be the surprise leader on day one.
Victorian Popovic, 26, was in superb touch and looked as if he would take a handy margin into the weekend before a double bogey on 15 curtailed his run in great scoring conditions on the Sunshine Coast.
But while nobody could keep pace with him yesterday, the movers are coming thick and fast on day two. The 2008 champion Geoff Ogilvy is menacing and was outright second at eight under following a round of 69, while Matt Goggin (66) and local hope Steve Bowditch  (67) are in the clubhouse at seven under.
The afternoon groups are starting to make their way onto the course, with Peter Senior (-4) among those giving chase.
