Today’s weather is expected to reach 31 degrees, but Bureau of Meteorology senior forecaster Gary Missen said Bendigonians should expect one to three millimetres of rain.
Mr Missen said Bendigo was also in for a wet day tomorrow.
“Ten to 25 millimetres of rain is expected, it will be humid and there will be isolated thunderstorms,” he said. “The cool change is not expected until Sunday, when it will be 23 degrees.”
Raywood farmer Tim Demeo said the wet weather would not interrupt harvesting.
“Most people in the region would have finished their harvesting by now,” he said.
“The wet weather would certainly help out the paddock as it has been very dry.”
Mr Demeo said the recent hot conditions had caused his paddock to become unresponsive.
“We have had a dry spring and the water supply is down so if we get some rain it would be good.”
