Second Springsteen show for Hanging Rock

BRUCE Springsteen and the E Street Band have doubled the number of shows for their Australia tour.

The Boss will now play two nights in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Hanging Rock.

The Hanging Rock Shows will be on Saturday, March 30, and Sunday, March 31.

A huge demand for tickets was evident on Wednesday when the pre-sale took place with tens of thousands of fans trying to snap up tickets.

“The ticket sales for the tour have been outstanding and it was clear within the first couple of minutes that demand was far going to outweigh the number of tickets we had available," music promoter Michael Gudinski said.

“I jumped straight on the phone to Bruce’s people and they have happily agreed to add these additional shows for the general public.

"It’s fantastic that even more fans will have the chance to secure tickets on Friday, however I do have to stress that shows are strictly limited.”

Springsteen will be supported acts Jimmy Barnes and The Rubens will also play the extra show.

Tickets will be available to the originally announced shows plus the newly announced shows on Friday, December 14, at 9am.

Made up of three Margin brothers and childhood friend Scott Baldwin, The Rubens released their debut album, which reached number three on the ARIA charts, this yea

“They such are such a great band with good songs. They’re fresh and we haven’t seen best from them yet,” Mr Gudinski said.

They have performed across the country this year, supported The Black Keys and won the J Award for Unearthed Artist of the Year.

But next March is sure to be their biggest highlight yet.

Tickets for Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band, Jimmy Barnes and The Rubens go on sale on Friday, December 14.
