No discussion or consideration has ever been carried out with the residents by council or councillors in regard to the effect on seniors, disabled, disadvantaged or schools in the area of Golden Square.
The alternative new $25 million pool at Kangaroo Flat has not been constructed.
I believe that the council has discriminated against ratepayers in Golden Square with the removal of this public asset and with its treatment of making a distinction in favour against the opening of the pool – to the detriment of a category or class in the area.
But of course, the council has to find $10 million to cover its super contribution. One wonders if Kangaroo Flat will be completed.
