Elmore – renowned as a competition easybeat – won its first game since December 18, 2010, when it defeated Bagshot by 11 runs.
Batting first after winning the toss, Bagshot made 5-160 off its 40 overs.
The key contributions with the bat came from captain James Sexton (36 n.o.), opener Stefan Anderson (35) and Marc Sherwell (30).
Normally a score of 160 would be well out of reach for Elmore, which leading into Saturday had been bowled out for an average score of 78 this season.
However, the batting clicked and Elmore responded with 9-171.
No Elmore batting or bowling details were supplied.
● Heathcote suffered its first loss of the season in the top-of-the-ladder clash with Dingee.
Heathcote made a challenging 159 batting first, but was bowled out with four overs to spare, with the side’s inability to bat out its full quota proving costly.
Brenton Conforti made 45 for Heathcote, which one stage lost 3-1 when it fell from 1-40 to 4-41.
Dingee shared its wickets between captain Scott Lawry (3-21), Anthony Lawry (3-37) and Kyle Patten (3-58).
The game went down to the wire, with Dingee sneaking over the line with its 9-162 in reply.
After his three-for, Patten backed up his effort with the ball by making 57, while no other Dingee player made more than 15.
● Kamarooka defeated Goornong by 27 runs to win its fifth game of the season.
Goornong struggled its way to 93 batting first, with only Taig Griffin (28) and Gavin Pearce (17) making double figures.
Goornong lost its last five wickets for just four runs.
Jake Logie bowled brilliantly for Kamarooka to capture 3-8 off 5.3 overs.
Kamarooka lost six wickets in reaching its target, before finishing at 9-120.
Openers Hamish Roberts (23) and Heath Cail (21) laid the foundation for Kamarooka’s successful run chase.
Nick Kennedy (4-38) was the best of the Goornong bowlers.
● Raywood belted Colbinabbin by 85 runs.
Opener Damian Tresize (58) led the way with the bat in Raywood’s score of 165, while Will Lowe (4-37) took the bowling honours for Colbinabbin.
Colbinabbin was dismissed for just 80 in reply, with Locklan Sirrett (31) the only player to offer any resistance to the Raywood bowlers, led by James Clow, who bagged 5-17 off four overs.
