Keder Hamdache, 27, of Meadow Heights, appeared in Melbourne Magistrates Court via videolink from the Metropolitan Remand Centre charged with attempted murder, intentionally causing serious injury, conduct endangering life, being a prohibited person possessing a handgun, kidnapping and aggravated burglary.

Magistrate Gerard Lethbridge remanded Hamdache to appear in Broadmeadows Magistrates Court on March 4 for a one-day committal hearing.

Police allege Hamdache went to a Meadow Heights home on Tuesday night, September 11, and threatened to kill everyone at the house before shooting his partner's parents and fleeing with his partner and child.

His partner's 52-year-old father and 49-year-old mother were taken to hospital but were not seriously injured.

Hamdache was arrested with his pregnant partner, 22, the next day in Coolaroo, in Melbourne's north, following a large police search. Their 13-month-old daughter was found at another address with relatives.

The court was told on Thursday that Hamdache also wanted to plead guilty to one charge of possessing drugs on August 25 in Fawkner after being caught with a small quantity of what he said was GHB (gamma-hydroxybutyric acid) in a liquid plunger.
