Crusoe College won the School Sports Victoria Year 9-10 cricket tournament on Tuesday, defeating Marybyrnong Sports College in the final.
Batting first in the grand final, the Kangaroo Flat-based Crusoe recovered from 6-30 to post a competitive 7-132 off its 20 overs, with the fightback led by Sam Harper (40 n.o.) and Zack Turnbull (33).
Marybyrnong was bowled out for 114 after a last-wicket stand of 53.
A highlight for Crusoe’s attack was a double hat-trick to Josh Blencowe, who claimed four wickets in four balls.
