Job Description
This role is a purely technical role. You will primarily be Dealing with the following :
* Responsible for the successful technical delivery of projects where the project engineer has been assigned the project lead. Projects included but not limited to:
o Client technology upgrades or implementations
o New client on boarding projects
o Relocation projects
o Internal systems projects
* Responsible for the delivery of project tasks efficiently and within the allowed time-frames/budgets
* Assisting with technical escalations as required from the Service Delivery team
* Providing senior technical resources to our larger clients
Where required, assist the Solutions team with BoM's and other technical activities for clients
* Where required, attend meetings for new sales opportunities
* Complete IT and security reviews for clients or prospects
* Assist with the resolution of tickets allocated to the Solutions team board when allocated to the Projects engineer
* Assist in the resolution of technical issues after hours as required
The Successful Applicant
Essential Criteria:
5 years' technical experience working in managed services or equivalent environment
* Strong technical background and demonstrated experience in a senior technical position
* Detailed understanding of the company's product catalogue from a technical perspective
* Excellent communication, written and oral, customer focussed, team-worker, who can work systematically and with little direct supervision
* Dedicated to the delivery of World Class Services to our clients
* Ability to use time effectively and prioritise workload
* High attention to detail
* Strong troubleshooting/problem solving skills
* Technical certifications and/or industry experience relevant to our market (Microsoft, VMware, Cisco for example)
