Our client is a proud Western Australian utilities organisation, due to their continued growth and an internal promotion, they are now seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to join their close-knit team in Perth.
Your new role
As Supply Chain Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that all required materials are required to support a broad range of key projects. The role is responsible for identifying and understanding overall material requirements and for managing the Supply Chain interface to the business by providing technical leadership regarding the use of systems, material planning, requisition management and material demand profiling. As Supply chain specialist, you will be responsible for the following:
- Develop a comprehensive view of the total business material requirements from a short- and long-term perspective.
- Manage stakeholder relationships internally with Project Managers, Engineers, and procurement. You will liaise externally with key suppliers.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to the rest of your team.
- On a monthly basis construct the materials forecast using the Supply Chain Analysts’ support to ensure that all possible information relating to total material demand is collated and understood.
- Develop a strong understanding of the end-to-end supply chain strategy, managing material demand and overseeing the planning across key projects.
- Be the face of the Supply Chain team and keep up to date with all ongoing projects.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have held a similar position for a large/ global organisation managing the end-to-end supply chain process. You will have demonstrated track record of process, project and productivity improvement and success in developing and implementing change initiatives. Other key requirements for success include:
- High attention to detail and results orientated
- Extensive supply chain experience
- Previous experience with demand, planning and forecasting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of process improvement methodologies including lean and six-sigma
- Graduate qualifications in Finance, Business, Procurement, or related discipline
- Excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills
