Your new role
Deliver quality, efficient and effective person-centred care which meets the needs of the patients and their families or carers.
Make appropriate referrals to support patient requirements on discharge. Provide appropriate supervision and/or mentoring for staff as required including the supervision of students on clinical placement.
Respond effectively to situations and the changing status of the patient, delegate aspects of care to ENs and AINs according to their competence and within their scope of practice.
Delivery of service - within professional boundaries, ethics and cultural respect, scope of practice and effective utilisation of resources.
Communicate with patients/clients to identify their needs and advocate on behalf of patients/clients and their families when required to effectively manage resources relevant to the service.
What you'll need to succeed
Essential Criteria:
- Current authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Recent relevant experience in clinical setting so you are able to hit the ground running
- You must have Australian Citizenship or permanent Australian residency
- High turnover trauma Centre completing all types of surgery including cardiothoracic and neurosurgery
- Experience using hi tech machines and technology
- Ability to adapt and change quickly to change
