Your new company
Independent statutory authority supervising a range of organisations across the financial services sector. The policy division develops, maintains and interprets the organisations policy framework and supports supervisory staff across various divisions.

Your new role

  • Developing and reviewing policy options and making recommendations
  • Consulting internally and with government agencies and industry groups
  • Preparing briefing papers and submissions
  • Providing advice on all matters relating to policy development
  • Recommending content of standards and practice guides
  • Identifying opportunities for new projects and recommending on policy initiatives
  • Responding to requests for interpretation of policy, practice and procedure
  • Negotiating with key stakeholders from government and financial sectors
  • Ensuring policy development is reflective of current market developments

What you'll need to succeed

  • High level experience in policy development processes
  • In-depth knowledge of the financial services sector and/or superannuation
  • Awareness of emerging trends in financial services
  • Highly developed organisational and priority management skills
  • Strong communication and consultation skills
  • Exceptional stakeholder management capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously
  • Awareness of emerging trends in financial services
  • Government experience in a relevant agency beneficial
  • Tertiary qualifications in a policy, economics, finance or similar
