Austral Masonry has grown from a single Victorian plant to become a major player in the concrete masonry market along Australia's east coast. As well as grey concrete blocks, the workhorses of the building industry, our masonry division manufactures coloured concrete masonry units, pavers and retaining wall systems for residential and large-scale commercial applications. About the role We're seeking an experienced Plant Supervisor to join our Austral Masonry site in Coffs Harbour. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will be primarily responsible for ensuring that production processes deliver products of maximum quality in a profitable manner. This position is also responsible for directing the manufacturing operations performed in a shift ensuring the shift reaches volume, quality and cost/efficiency goals without compromising on safety. Duties include but are not limited to Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to employees; Organise workflow by assigning responsibilities and assist in the preparation of schedules; Oversee and coach employees; Ensure the safe use of equipment and assist with scheduling regular maintenance; Check production output according to specifications; Submit reports on performance and progress; Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements; Train new employees on how to safely use machinery and follow procedures; Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards; and Conforms to meet environmental responsibilities. Success Requirements Bachelor of Engineering or related qualification/experience. Proven experience as Production Supervisor or similar role. Strong knowledge of production operations. Sound ability to develop, execute and monitor production plans. Proven Leadership skills. Project management skills. Proven teamwork/collaborative skills. Strong problem-solving skills.
