Full job description

Your new company
Your new company is one of the world’s leading food manufacturers and it produces a variety of different products across its manufacturing sites in over fifty countries. As a market leader, your new company has been in the industry for over 100 years and has an excellent reputation in the market with some of the best manufacturing facilities in NSW.

Located in SW Sydney with growing production rates, there is a requirement to grow their maintenance team with additional maintenance fitters across the afternoon shift.

Your new role
Within your new role your primary focuses will require you to fault find all production equipment on site. You will ensure all production machinery is performing at maximum OEE and to a safe standard. You will carry out preventative maintenance and identify opportunities for improvement on efficiency levels.

You will also be involved with project work and any service maintenance required on associated plant and facilities. You will be carrying out mechanical maintenance on highly automated and controls based continuous manufacturing production lines, within a food grade facility.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be able to pull on prior mechanical maintenance experience from within a manufacturing industry; ideally this will have come from a food, beverage, FMCG or pharmaceutical manufacturer due to the strict documentation (HACCP/GMP) nature of these industries.

You will hold your trade fitter/turner certificate, ideally you will have your restricted electrical licence (not essential) with excellent experience within a high-speed manufacturing environment. If you have additional tickets such as LOTO, hot work, confined space, working with boilers and working at heights this would be desirable (not essential).

What you'll get in return
This role is paying an excellent hourly rate, paying above the market average with lots of overtime available and with the afternoon shift allowances.

Your new position is a permanent position and offers excellent job security working for a global leader. You must have working rights in Australia to apply for this position and be able to attend an interview in Sydney for this role. Applicants from outside of this will not be considered.
