Are you a Graduate Registered Midwife seeking an opportunity to kick start your career in a supportive team?

Nepean Private Hospital is looking for registered Graduate Registered Midwives for our Women's Health Unit to join our new Graduate Midwife Program with sign on bonus! Applicants with a passion, for midwifery and gynaecology, along with the relevant clinical background and experience are encouraged to apply.

Our Women's Health Unit encompasses antenatal, postnatal, intrapartum care, gynaecology and a level 2 special care nursery. It is an exciting time for Nepean Private Hospital. We are investing in our future with an exciting $38M redevelopment which will see our Hospital grow to meet the needs of our growing community with 4 new operating theatres, purpose built pre-admission area, new sterilising department, new foyer and retail space, new consulting suites, refurbished main entry and a new car park. And we have just purchased a new $3.5Million Da Vinci Robot to expand our complex surgery program.

As a Registered Graduate Midwife your responsibilities will be to:

  • Deliver evidence based midwifery care
  • Work collaboratively within the multi-disciplinary team
  • Deliver a high standard of customer service
  • Ensure patient and staff safety
  • Have a willingness to learn and be a team player
  • Be motivated and proactive

The successful applicant should be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Current registration as a Midwife with AHPRA
  • Post graduate in Midwifery or Bachelor of Midwifery
  • Clinical skills and motivation to ensure excellence in patient care and customer service
  • A commitment to safe practice and quality patient care
  • Understanding of the National Safety and Quality Health Service standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work both independently and within a team structure
  • The ability to act in a professional manner at all times
  • Display an ongoing willingness to learn and develop and be a team player

Is successful, you will receive a salary based of award 23 - Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF - NSW Nurses' & Midwives' Enterprise Agreement 2020-2024 with an hourly rate ranging between $34.59-$48.58.
