General Practitioners, with or without fellowship (FRACGP) are sought, to work in a fully-equipped, brand new general practice, with excellent working conditions, to be opened around Bendigo, Victoria, Australia, in August 2022. Exact location will be decided, depending on the availability of the prospective employees.
The successful candidates working, along with 1 or more colleague/s, 2 nurses, a practice manager and 2 receptionists, will be responsible, for the delivery of safe, efficient and effective primary care, for ambulatory patients of all age groups and both sexes. This includes, an emphasis on family medicine, as well as, immunization, disease prevention, chronic disease management, contraception, treatment / excision of skin cancers, health assessments, promoting healthy life styles, etc. Doctors, who could work full-time, including rotating weekends, are preferred, but senior doctors, who want to work part time are also considered. Employment will be pursuant to renewable annual contracts.
Earnings are mainly from bulk-billing Medicare Australia (up to 70% of billing, for senior GPs), but mixed billing option is also available. Non-vocationally-registered trainees (including overseas-trained doctors / IMGs) can expect over AU $ 70, 000 per annum, during the first year.
Relocation assistance can be considered, for interstate and overseas candidates. Incentives are offered to experienced GPs, who are willing to supervise up to 4 trainees. Loans can be provided, during the first few months, to buffer a low income, until the patient load is built.
Doctors with a passion for primary care, capable of delivering quality services are especially sought, so are new graduates, who are trying to build their own practice & overseas-trained doctors / IMGs, who are willing to migrate to Australia, are encouraged to apply. IMGs can be sponsored for work visas, initially and later for Australian Permanent Residency Visas, upon completion of their fellowship, if necessary.
