Your new company
With multiple farms on the Darling and Southern Downs, your new company specializes in broadacre and dryland. As they continue to grow, they are searching for a Farm Hand to join their expanding farming team.
Your new role
You’ll assist the Farming Manager in general farm duties, maintenance and cropping operations, such as cultivating, planting, harvesting, spreading and spraying fertilisers. You’ll be operating and servicing farm machinery and vehicles, participating in toolbox meetings and Occupational Health and Safety. You will also assist Operation Managers in planning and record keeping, performing workshop duties, you will be committed to mechanical skills and physical strength, and with hard work ethic, the completion of lists of tasks on the farm.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will have a passion for the agricultural industry and in particular broadacre cropping. You will have strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work as part of a team, you’ll enjoy multiple training opportunities and have the willingness to accept a ChemCert accreditation and a high-risk work license. With high level motivation and high work ethic, you’ll have outstanding time management and attention to detail, and ideally a driver’s license, HC or above.
