Exploration Geologist

Large nickel producer with operations across multiple nickel mines and projects. They are able to offer a great working environment with great facilities and accommodation.

Your new role
Exploration Geologist working on near mine nickel exploration projects, you will work as part of a large, established exploration team defining additional deposits to add to the life of mine. Duties will include;

• Drill rig management (RC and Diamond drill rigs)
• Drilling contractor management
• Executing the drilling plan
• Review of the drilling data

What you'll need to succeed
As an Exploration Geologist you will need to be able to work as part of a team and also be able to use your initiative especially when managing the drill rig. You will report in to the Senior Geologists and assist with the supervision of the drillers and field assistants. To succeed you will need to following;

• BSc in Geology or similar field
• Previous exploration experience in a base metal
• 4WD experience and ideally the ticket
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
• Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test

• $600 - 700+ day rate depending on experience paid weekly
