Your Impact  

As an Educator at Goodstart Goonellabah, you will be a team player, collaborating with the Senior Educators and Educational Leader within your centre to observe, inform and continuously improve our educational programs on offer to children. You put safety first with everything that you do and ensure all learning experiences are inclusive and response to the needs of all children.  

Our Centre

Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Goonellabah is located conveniently on a main highway on the outskirts of Lismore. Convenient but quiet, well-positioned and safe – its location makes for a much simpler and stress-free daily drop-off and pick-up.

Our centre offers early learning to 90 children daily in rooms from Nursery to Preschool. Our rooms are set up to ensure children can benefit from planned learning experiences and play-based learning. The curriculum is based around the Early Years Learning Framework, and care is taken to ensure the individual needs and interests of the child is considered.

We pay particular attention to social and emotional wellbeing, as well as literacy and numeracy to ensure children are given every opportunity to transition well from early learning to school. We have Bachelor qualified teachers throughout the centre, and a team of qualified educators, ensuring your child has access to qualified, experiences and inspiring educators. 

You’ll help achieve this by  
 

  • Maintaining a safe environment for children, families, and team members.
  • Complying with the National Quality Standards and Goodstart policy and procedures.
  • Using and implementing the Goodstart Practice Guide to support Senior Educators and Teachers in the delivery of high-quality education programs.
  • Building and maintain strong, positive relationships with children and their families.
  • Supporting a culture of reflective practice and ongoing continuous improvement.
  • Contributing to a professional and positive work culture.

If you have strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards, plus hold a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood (ACECQA approved equivalent), then we want to meet you!
