About the Role

An exciting opportunity to join BOQ Group (which includes Bank of Queensland, ME Bank and Virgin Money Australia) has arrived! As a Cyber Security Third Party Assurance Manager, you will be joining BOQ Group during our transformation journey to become the digital bank of the future. This permanent role will enable you to add significant value to our organisation by delivering cyber security and other IT services in accordance with cyber security standards and expectations, being able to make a difference with integrity and empathy. With exciting projects currently underway, you will be a key contributor to unique business development and change across BOQ Group.

You will join a high performing team in maintaining and defining compliance of third party assurance standards. Working with a diverse range of stakeholders to ensure BOQ Group is compliant with relevant industry schemes, regulations and laws (such as PCI-DSS, APRA CPS234 and the Privacy Act), you will actively report on cyber security third party risks and issues to relevant parties. This will include undertaking security risk assessments and supporting initiatives to improve security risk posture and maturity.

About you

As an experienced cyber security professional, you will have a collaborative outcome and people focussed mindset. Mentoring skills will come naturally to you, supported by a can-do attitude and good communication.

You will have knowledge of Australian Financial Services regulations from a security perspective, especially CPS. Furthermore, you will have a strong understanding of standards and regulations such as ISO 27001 and NIST CSF. With previous experience in developing information security reports, you will have the ability to provide expert advice to senior leaders and managers.
