What an honour to win the State Golden Plate Award as regional Victoria’s best restaurant.
Geelong and Ballarat have well-established food scenes and it’s fantastic to see a Bendigo restaurant triumphing in such company.
Bendigo’s Cafe Twenty Two was also a State Golden Plate Awards cafe section finalist.
The Golden Plate Awards judges have been glowing in their praise of the Bendigo region through this awards process.
It’s fantastic to hear independent judges speak so highly of the region’s food scene.
This is just reward for all the business owners and staff who dedicate themselves to providing the best food and service possible.
While Masons of Bendigo can bask in glory today, part of their success should be attributed to the standards required to prosper in the competitive food scene this region is fortunate to have.
Another impressive aspect of the judges’ comments about Masons of Bendigo was the restaurant’s acknowledgement of local suppliers.
It’s great to see local restaurants supporting other regional businesses and thankfully Masons is not alone in this regard.
To publicly acknowledge those other businesses is a nice touch.
