The 331 to 122-point win secured the Chiko Rollers’ third place in the Western Regional Roller Derby Championships.
The Chiko Rollers have been beaten by the Rat Pack the past five times and had not won a match in this year’s three-game season.
Geelong team The Psychotics beat their cross-town rival Atom Bombs to take our first place in the competition.
Chiko Roller Emma McSparron said the team was thrilled.
“We were so stoked,” she said.
“I think it was our teamwork that got us over the line. We annihilated them.”
Ms McSparron said they had great support from the crowd in Reservoir.
“Someone dressed up as a Chiko Roll. It was brilliant.”
The Chiko Rollers are already looking to next year’s competition, which will see more teams join the league.
“It’s going to be even bigger than this year. It’ll be interesting to see how it evolves,” Ms McSparron said.
