Excitement builds as show time arrives

The 151st Bendigo Agricultural Show will officially open at the Prince of Wales Showgrounds today at 9am.Some 35 rides, dozens of showbags, circus performers, freestyle motocross riders, animal attractions, wood chopping and art pavilions are among the attractions.Mother of three, Eva Caddy of North Bendigo has been a regular visitor to the show since she was eight-years-old and has passed on her passion for the event to her children Anthony, 6, Macy, 10, and Christopher, 14.“They have developed an interest in the arts and crafts pavilions, as well as entering flower displays and cooking entries,” Mrs Caddy said.“The kids received some great results last year and have won best exhibitors for the past three years,” she said.Both show days will feature fireworks displays from 9pm.Entry for adults is $15, concession $10, children under 15 is $6 and children under 5 are admitted free.Family prices are $35, which admits two adults and three children under 15.
