A WEBSITE for Generation Y will be launched today as part of Bendigo’s Youth Week celebrations.YO Bendigo will help give youth a voice in the community as well as helping provide them with information on services and community events.City youth development co-ordinator Kylie Emonson said the website would become a great medium for young people to have their say, share ideas and give their views on youth issues.“It’s great to have a dedicated website where young people can voice their opinions, check out local events and learn more about youth services in their area.” The website was developed following a community consultation that was undertaken as part of the city’s youth strategy.Cr James Reade of Sandhurst ward said the website had been developed by the city’s youth development team in consultation with local young people.“The website will provide opportunities to access accurate information that will help young people connect to services available in the community.” Further details about the site or Youth Week activities can be found at www.yobendigo.com.au
