You could transform your house into a huge artwork.
That is what Marong resident Paige and her mum Lyndell did, spending four-and-a-half hours colouring in their home's brickwork with chalk.
"It's been great. We've had a lot of cars slowing down and people walking past and having a look," Lyndell said.
It is one of the many rainbows that have appeared on streets around Bendigo in recent weeks - all small acts of cheer in defiance of the trying times many are facing.
"We are not the sort of people who want to dwell on the negative stuff around this virus. So it was nice to have a break from the focus on that and have a bit of a smile," Lyndell said.
Colouring in the house was also a way to occupy 10-year-old Paige during tight stage three restrictions that took effect this week and have seen many children cooped up inside for longer periods.
