Bendigo business Signarama hopped to it after hearing Vision Australia’s Easter Egg Hunt banner was reported stolen earlier this week.
Staff arrived at the Bendigo office on Monday morning to find the large, yellow banner missing from the front of the Bridge Street building.
Vision Australia Loddon Mallee regional business manager Megan McDonald said the replacement banner meant a lot to the organisation.
“It would have cost us hundreds of dollars to replace the banner, but Signarama got straight to work without us even asking for help,” she said.
“We’re grateful that Signarama has been so generous.”
The Easter Egg hunt is one of the not-for-profit organisation’s biggest fundraisers.
Proceeds from the event support services aiding people who are blind or have low vision.
A total of 6000 children are expected to partake in this year’s Easter Egg Hunt, which will be staged over both Good Friday and Easter Saturday for the first time.
Signarama’s Peter Reading said he was glad to help.
“We’ve supported Vision Australia for a long time,” he said.
“We were happy to replace the banner for all the kids that are going to the Easter Egg Hunt.”
Police are still investigating the alleged theft of the previous banner, which went missing sometime between 5pm last Friday and 9am on Monday.
Anyone with information about the missing banner’s whereabouts is urged to call the Bendigo Police Station on 5448 1300.
