The 52-year-old was driving his white Ford ute south on High Street when he collided with a blue Mazda driven by an elderly lady who was travelling on Don Street towards Eaglehawk at about 5.55pm tonight.
Police said the man ran a red light, which caused the collision.
Witnesses said the white Ford completely rolled after striking the Mazda before coming to rest on its wheels.
Police, CFA, paramedics and SES all attended the scene.
No injuries were reported but the man was taken to Bendigo Health to be assessed for minor injuries.
Police said the man will likely be issued with an infringement notice.
Traffic at the intersection was reduced to one lane in every direction for about 20 minutes until the scene was cleared.
