After 11 rounds, Hickman has 3658 points, clear of Tim Hutchins (3384), Brett Milburn (3327) and Brayden Parr (2896).
A series win would top a brilliant season for Hickman, who broke through for his maiden win at Wangaratta City Speedway in round nine and followed up with a victory in round 11 in Moama.
The 18-year-old finished sixth in last weekend’s 12th round behind the winner Corey McCullagh.
The grand final will be run at Allansford’s Premier Speedway on Sunday.
