The Rangas ended Saturday 1-114 having early bundled the Cobras out for 110.
Matt Pask (60 n.o.) and Sean Rashleigh (40 n.o.) went to stumps having already put on 107 runs for the second wicket for Mandurang.
Earlier, captain James Pietromonaco took a five-wicket haul as the Rangas captialised on their decision to bowl first.
Pietromonaco snared 5-36 off 15.4 overs – the best figures by a Rangas player this season.
The Cobras hit the skids when they fell from 1-48 to 5-57. Jordan Knight’s 26 was the top score for Golden Gully, which was all out in the 45th over.

• Marong needs 111 more runs with 10 wickets in hand to defeat United for the first time in seven seasons.
The Panthers – who last beat United in 2010-11 – will resume next week at 0-65 in reply to the Tigers’ 175.
Marong brothers Jeremy Ross (33 n.o.) and Scott Ross (23 n.o.) will continue the chase after getting through 25 overs unscathed following United’s demise.
The Tigers’ 175 after they had been sent in featured half-centuries to Xavier Walsh (53) and late inclusion Alex Collins (50).
Batting at No.8, Collins’ 50 came off just 33 balls and included three sixes.
Coming in with the score 6-120, Collins scored 50 of the Tigers’ last 55 runs.
Skipper Tom Wilson (3-35) and in-form leg-spinner Dean Cosgriff (3-47) picked up three wickets apiece for the Panthers.

• Spring Gully restricted Maiden Gully to 168 in the battle of second versus third.
Maiden Gully Gully had been 2-85 after winning the toss before its last eight wickets fell for 83 runs.
In his return to the side Byron Perrin (3-32) picked up three wickets for the Crows, while Rhys Webb – the No.1 player in the Addy MVP rankings – picked up more points with three wickets also.
Webb finished with a tidy 3-15 off five overs.
The best partnership of the Maiden Gully innings was the 60 captain Trevor Pickthall (49) and Rob Brown (25) put on for the second wicket.
Coming off a century the previous round against West Bendigo, Alex Gorrie was the first wicket to fall for Maiden Gully for one.
• Jordan Ilsley’s fine season with the ball continued for Sedgwick, taking over the mantle as the competition’s leading wicket-taker.
Ilsley bagged another four wickets, taking his season tally to 31, as the ladder-leading Rams knocked over West Bendigo for 142.
Ilsley finished with 4-46 off 19 overs, including the cheap dismissal of the competition’s leading run-scorer, Travis O’Connell (7).
The Rams didn’t take long to put the pressure on the Redbacks, who were 4-37 early.
Almost half the Redbacks’ score was made by Tom Floyd (70 n.o.), who came in at 2-26 and was still at the crease at the end of the innings as wickets tumbled around him.
The Rams were 2-51 at stumps from just 11 overs.
