BENDIGO sweltered through its warmest night of the year last night as the temperature only dropped to 23.8 just before 7am.

The low surpassed the previous warmest night, on January 8, when there was a low of 21.7.
At 9am, the temperature is already above 27.
But it won’t be too hot today with an expected maximum in Bendigo of 32, to be reached just after midday.
Light rain could also fall across the region.
Elsewhere in central Victoria, Castlemaine will reach at top of 29, Echuca will be 34 and it will reach 33 in Kerang.
