Apiam Animal Health has announced it will buy the Eaglehawk Road clinic.
In a statement, the company said Passionate Vetcare’s current owners – Dr Kellie Anset and Katie Watts – would form a “key part” of its operational management team in the Bendigo region.
Apiam managing director Dr Chris Richards said customers could expect to see the same or better service once settlement was complete.
He said Apiam wanted to acquire a clinic in Bendigo that had a high level of service to expand the company’s footprint and provide the necessary support to its future emergency and referral clinic at Epsom.
“This is another important acquisition for Apiam, with many strategic benefits,” Dr Richards said.
“I am very pleased that Apiam will be benefiting from the extensive experience of the Passionate Vetcare staff as we embark on our planned growth strategy in the Bendigo region”.
